The Ostrich is a simple Chrome extension that lets you blur news stories and social media posts based on keywords you choose.
How to Use The Ostrich
Add Keywords – Type a word into the keyword box and press Enter to add it.
Enable or Disable Keywords – Use the slider next to each keyword to turn it on or off.
Delete Keywords – Click the X next to a keyword to remove it.
Free Users – Pick one supported news site for blurring. You can change your selected site once per day by clicking the gear icon.
Premium Users – All supported news and social media sites are blurred based on your keywords.

1. What websites does The Ostrich support?

2. Why isn’t blurring working on a news site?
If you are a free user, you can only blur one news site at a time. You may have a different site selected. To change it:
Click the gear icon in the extension.
Select a new site (you can change it once per day).
If you’re a premium user and still experiencing issues, try refreshing the page.
3. How do I upgrade to premium?
To unlock blurring across all supported news and social media sites:
Click the Upgrade to Premium button in the extension.
Choose a plan:
$2 per month
$20 per year
Pay securely with Stripe or PayPal.
Premium subscriptions can be canceled at any time.
4. How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through:
Stripe or PayPal (depending on which service you used to sign up).
The Ostrich extension settings (click the gear icon).
Once canceled, you will revert to a free user at the end of your billing cycle.
5. How do I add or remove keywords?
Add a keyword – Type it into the keyword box and press Enter.
Enable/disable a keyword – Use the slider next to each keyword.
Delete a keyword – Click the X next to the keyword.
6. Does The Ostrich track my browsing history?
No! The Ostrich does not track, store, or sell your browsing history. The only information we store is your email address for authentication purposes.
